The 10 National honorees earn $1,000 each, a certificate, and a silver medallion. The top junior high and the top high school honoree will get $,5000 as well as a trip to Washington, D.C.

They also will receive an additional $5,000 to donate to the charity of their choice. Winners will be announced in February and the conference takes place in May. The trip to Washington, D.C. is all expense paid for the student recipients as well as one legal guardian for each of them.
